My name is Sharon, and I am the Project Manager with the Domestic Abuse team. I began in September 2021, became Senior Project Worker and then became the Project Manager. I still provide practical help, information, advice, guidance, emotional support and advocacy for vulnerable women who have been, or are currently involved in, a domestic abuse situation. I also attend weekly MARAC meetings, which is a multi-agency meeting for professionals to discuss the victims of domestic abuse and to best to keep them safe and better manage the risk of the perpetrators. Prior to the Women’s Centre, my experience was in a custodial setting within the substance misuse field and latterly in the community as a PSO, in probation.

The ethos of the organisation is love, care, compassion and kindness and this is apparent on a daily basis within the centre and the interactions with clients and staff.
