Project Worker: Young People
Hi I’m Oliver and I started working for Women’s Community Matters in 2020. My background is specifically Education as I am a qualified teacher. I currently work on the Time for Thought programme which is aimed at young men aged 13-17. Time, for thought is an 8-12 week rolling programme which is delivered through a weekly group session. Additionally, 1-1 support is also available to the young men.
Young men will be able to join at any point and can access the programme for as long as they need support! Some of the topics included are Masculinity & Identity, Sex, Pornography, Consent and Sexual Exploitation, Social Media & Celeb Culture, Drugs, Alcohol and ‘legal highs’ and Men and Emotions.
Every young man that accesses the programme will be treated with Love, Care, Compassion and Kindness which is our vision here at WCM.
