Pearl

Sadly Pearl passed away in February 2019, she remains a part of the team and we think of her often.  The following bio was written by Pearl.

Hi my name is Pearl. I have worked for over 20-years with victims of domestic violence, in a variety of roles within a women’s refuge. I am fully trained IDVA (Independent Domestic Violence Adviser) and was the Service Delivery Manager within the Witness Service.

Working with high risk domestic violence clients has often involved difficult and emotional situations. This has made me very aware of the hard work, achievements and success of all the team at WCM. I believe that as the result of my years of knowledge and experience I have much to offer in this role and love working as part of the team and to contribute to its future success helping women and children move on with their lives and providing the essential support and training that they might need.

I was very happy to be offered the position at WCM of Project Worker on 1st February 2016 delivering the New Lives Project to help with housing for women fleeing domestic abuse. I also offer 1-2-1 support and gateway appointments to women with experience of abusive relationships.
