Hi my name is Mary. I am the Centre Co-ordinator at WCM and I am here to help in any way I can. I started at WCM in February 2015 as a volunteer on reception. After completing the training programme I became a Support Volunteer and offered Gateway appointments to the women that used the centre.

In June 2016, I applied for and was appointed to my current position. The Centre Co-ordinator role gives me the chance to make a positive impact in an organisation that makes a real difference to women’s lives. I work closely with other members of staff and volunteers, to ensure that the services provided by Women’s Community Matters are of the highest standard and accessible to all.

I am responsible for the smooth day to day running of the centre, including all administrative and reception services ensuring that the centre is fit for purpose. I work mostly on reception and provide a professional but friendly first point of contact for all enquires either by phone, email or face to face. I provide training for volunteers wishing to gain experience on reception and continue to support and develop their skills, which ensures that every woman who comes to the centre is treated with respect upholding our ethos that “Every Women Matters.” I look forward to welcoming you to the centre.
